Grifton

Located on the shores of Contentnea Creek, Grifton was once occupied by the Tuscarora Indians.   Artifacts found by fishermen, hunters and archeaologists are on display at the Indian Heritage Room of the Grifton Historical Museum at the Grifton Civic Center.
